On 19 May 2022 we commenced consultation on our proposal to release a Digital Equity Wholesale Fibre Service and we appreciate the feedback we received during that process.

We are pleased to announce that after taking your feedback into consideration we will launch this new Digital Equity Wholesale Service offer on 1 July 2022.

Final offer terms

Our Digital Equity product will be offered at a discounted rate of $19.50/month (Exc. GST) for 24 months to 30 June 2024 on the conditions set out below.

One of the understandable questions raised during consultation was, “What happens to the price at the end of the initial promotional period?” We are committed to making a positive impact and this initial promotion is essentially a trial to test for demand from what we believe to be a Digital Equity cohort.

What we learn through demand for this service will allow us to consider extending or varying this offer to make it available and attractive to more consumers with a genuine Digital Equity need and create a sustainable offer that endures to support those consumers and communities for the long term.

We fully intend to work with participating Service Providers throughout the promotional period with regular dialogue. We commit to confirming the arrangements beyond the end of the promotional period by 31 March 2024.

The key offer terms are:

• Participating Service Providers will be able to order a Bitstream 2 DE 200/100 (2.5/2.5) Wholesale Service (which will be our current Bitstream 2 Ultra 30/10 (2.5/2.5) Wholesale Service boosted to 200/100) for a monthly Charge of $19.50 (Exc. GST) per month.
• The $19.50 Charge will be fixed for the 24-month offer period.
• The maximum retail price (MRP) you can charge for the Bitstream 2 DE 200/100 (2.5/2.5) product is up to $50.00 per month (incl GST).
• The offer will only apply to eligible UFB1 addresses identified in a data list that we will provide every 90 days; Tuatahi First Fibre reserves the right to add additional qualifying addresses to the data list at any time.
• Eligible addresses will include properties that have not yet had fibre installed or have an ONT that has been inactive for more than 90 days.
• In our data list there are ~40,000 premises who have not connected to fibre and ~10,000 inactive ONTs (offering ~50,000 addresses across our eight UFB1 towns and cities).
• We will use the original Bitstream 2 Ultra 30/10 (2.5/2.5) Wholesale Service as the template and speed boost that product to 200/100 Mbps.
• All qualifying orders must be received during the offer period (1 July 2022 to 30 June 2024).

If you wish to take up this opportunity, please confirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions by signing a copy of the attached offer letter and returning it to your Account Manager.

To take advantage of the offer from the beginning of the trial period, make sure you return the signed letter prior to 1 July 2022.
