Fibre uptake in Tuatahi’s NZDEP 8–10 areas is lower than in other parts of our network. As at March 2026, uptake in these areas was 67%, compared with 77% outside these areas.

The Digital Inclusion Offer is designed to help close that gap by supporting affordable access for households most likely to face cost barriers. We use Stats NZ NZDEP data because it provides a transparent, independent and consistent way to identify areas where support is most likely to be needed. We have not restricted eligibility by income, housing type or individual customer circumstances. Those decisions are best managed by RSPs through their own customer relationships, channels and support models.
